About the project

The Korea Institute for National Unification’s North Korea Compendium Online Platform is a digital knowledge platform that converts existing North Korea research materials into digital content and helps users easily explore information by field and topic. Users can browse North Korea-related content through a structured hierarchy of fields, topics, and subtopics, while integrated and hashtag search provide quick access to relevant materials. Each entry can include not only text but also images, tables, videos, attachments, and internal and external links. The platform also provides statistics on content views and searches, along with search log management, enabling analysis of user interests and content usage. The user-facing website, admin system, and backend API were designed as separate components to simplify operations and future expansion.
